Per Plantacid chewable tab Mg(OH)₂ 300 mg, dried Al(OH)₃ 300 mg, simeticone 30 mg. Per 5 mL Plantacid susp Mg(OH)₂ 300 mg, dried Al(OH)₃ 300 mg, simeticone 100 mg. Per Plantacid Forte chewable tab Mg(OH)₂ 400 mg, dried Al(OH)₃ 400 mg, simeticone 100 mg. Per Plantacid Forte 5 mL susp Mg(OH)₂ 400 mg, dried Al(OH)₃ 400 mg, simeticone 100 mg

Indications/Uses

Reduce symptoms related to hyperacidity, stomach & duodenal ulcer eg, nausea, flatulence & sensation of fullness.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Tab/susp 1-2 tab or 5-10 mL. Forte tab/Forte susp If a stronger antacid & antiflatulent is required. Severe cases: 2 hrly.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr after each meal & at bedtime.

Special Precautions

Renal insufficiency; not for continuous use.

Adverse Reactions

Diarrhea, constipation.

Alters absorption of tetracycline, cimetidine.
